Music Devon

Haydn took up guitar in 1975, and studied at the City of Leeds College of Music doing a graduate diploma in light music, (now jazz and popular music!).

Haydn also holds three diplomas in classical and plectrum, (jazz) guitar. LGSM (perf), LLCM,(TD), and ALCM. He has played in a jazz trio in front of the Queen during her visit to Leeds town hall as well as countless shows, big bands, pit orchestras. Musicals have included ‘The Little Shop of Horrors’, West Side Story, High Society, Anything Goes, and ‘We Will Rock You’. Haydn also frequently doubles on electric bass and is a totally fluent sight reader.

He mostly teaches now and plays a lot of Flamenco Guitar, his main passion, and frequently travels to Spain to gain experience accompanying singers and dancers.
