Recently awarded an ARAM – Associate Royal Academy of Music for his ‘significant contribution to the music profession’, Dr Ricardo Barros holds a PhD, postgraduate diplomas from the Royal Academy of Music and Guildhall School of Music & Drama and a BMus. He teaches piano, singing, harpsichord and chamber music, apart from historical dance. He directs his professional London based Mercurius Company (www.mercuriuscompany.co.uk) and also performs with Spirituoso (www.spirituoso.co.uk), ensemble in residence at Handel House Museum in London. He travels worldwide performing, running workshops and presenting papers in conferences.
