Steve Down

Steve Down [BA Southampton University 2006] is a professional guitarist and composer. He has performed with a host of great musicians such as Matthew Scott [Channel 4 Composer/National Theatre], Keith Emerson [Emerson, Lake and Palmer], David Marchant [Courtney Pine Band]. He has compositions published with Universal and a recording contract with his jazz trio The Swiss under Chiwawa Records. His rock band Hereoes Don’t Kill will be releasing their album ‘Life Around the Corner’ in Autumn on Chiwawa Records. He also works with other bands such as Kiina and Grand Avenue Music.

As a teacher he has a wealth of experience having trained at Southampton University to run workshops. As well as teaching at schools in Devon he is a lecturer of composition and guitar at Taunton College of Arts and has conducted many workshops across the UK.
