musicdevon offers a professional bank of teachers who have all been CRB checked and are all practising professionals in their field. They are all passionate about their music and equally passionate about their teaching and the future of musical opportunity for young people in Devon. Some are working professional performers, band leaders, conductors and composers. And other teachers, with QTS, can deliver whole class music teaching, plus curriculum support. Others with specific areas of expertise, such as ensemble leadership, SEN experience, or early years provision, can bring a wider range of teaching expertise to your school. Our teachers can also , by working in partnership with other organisations , help deliver your extra-curricular needs and meet those of the whole community. Demonstrations and road shows as well as regular pupil-led performances can raise the awareness of music in your school. All our teachers offer first class instrumental music tuition – for without these skills there will be no musicians for our orchestras, jazz ensembles or rock bands. The benefits of music making to all areas of childrens’ learning and well being are so well catalogued that they no longer need defending.
